Bootcamp
Rules and Regulations:
There is no application fee at this time.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time the application is submitted.
Writers with and without room experience are welcome to apply.
All sessions will be over Zoom. There are no restrictions on where participants are located.
Applicants do not have to be WGA members to participate.
Participating in the program does not count towards points for WGA membership.
The program's focus will be on the hour-long drama format but writers of any genre may apply.
Material submitted must be the original work of the applicant.
Writer teams are welcome, however, each member will count as an individual student.
Applicants retain all rights to the writing samples submitted.
Only one writing sample per applicant will be considered.
All work done in the Hollywood Writers' Room Bootcamp is solely for educational and non-commercial use.
Any material developed within the program cannot be used by any participant or instructor for personal use.
Scripts will be co-written, therefore, coordination and additional meetings outside the designated room time with assigned writing partners will be required.
Due to the high volume of applications, we cannot give individual feedback on any writing sample submitted.
We cannot provide individual status updates during the evaluation process. All applicants will be notified once selections have been made.
Acceptance into the program does not guarantee a future spot in a professional writers' room.
